Mini-CapitalOnStage inside MobiCamp Switzerland

  • As the Capital On Stage concept is growing, there seems lots of interest from other event organisers to become involved with us. Especially because I’ve been living in Switzerland for 7 years now, I’m keen to help to boost the Swiss Tech scene. Martin Coul (a bright British ex-Skype business development expat also living in Switzerland, who has a thing for mobile) approached me last year already with the request to do something together in and for Switzerland. I said yes, and we agreed to do a mini-CapitalOnStage of 1 hour at the Swiss MobiCamp on November 1, 2012, only 8 days before our big event in New York City.

I will be doing the moderation myself, and I’m looking forward to welcoming Swiss and international investors to the stage. You can apply here. Below some blurb I received from Martin:

Swiss Mobicamp is an initiative to boost mobile start-ups in Switzerland and provide them with the tools and knowledge to success beyond the Swiss borders. The focus of this event is one of education and knowledge transfer through a number of stimulating channels where the participants can interact, learn, engage and hear from an international panel of speakers who are veterans of the mobile ecosystem.

Mobicamp is primarily aimed at executive and senior management from SMEs and startups involved in mobile or looking to develop mobile products and solutions. Investors looking to improve their dealflow and learn more about the mobile ecosystem, and employees from larger companies who want to understand the dynamics of this ecosystem and network across the Swiss mobile scene, are also invited to attend and participate.

The one day event  will be held on the 1st November 2012 in Bern and is kindly hosted by Swisscom. Initial sponsors for the next event include Swisscom, Scout 24, CTI Invest, Nokia, SQLI Agency, ALP ICT & The De Vigier Foundation.
